Course Description
This course is designed to train Diesel and Heavy Duty truck technicians in Diagnosis, Service, and Overhaul of Eaton/Paccar Endurant Automated Transmissions.
Justification
This course is required for industry certification by Eaton Corporation to perform warranty diagnosis and repair for Endurant Automated Transmissions.
Student Learning Outcomes
- Students will learn the key features of the Endurant Transmission including electrical, air and lubrication systems.
- Students will learn the operation of the 430mm clutch system.
- Students will learn the operation of the ServiceRanger4 computer programming system for the Endurant transmission.
- Students will disassemble, inspect and re-assemble a Endurant transmission using Eaton procedures and special tools.
Course Content
Theory – Key features that differ Endurant from legacy product (electrical, air and lubrication system) 430mm clutch information and discussion
430mm clutch information and discussion.
ServiceRanger4 – Complete coverage of use and available options for programming for the Endurant transmission.
Practical - Complete disassembly, inspection, discussion and reassembly of the transmission following Eaton guidelines.
Follow up information and discussion following the practical portion.
