BUS1600 Entrepreneurship Seminars. Students may enroll in this series for credit, but each event is open to the public as well as Snow College students who are not enrolled in the class.

Josh Peterson

Owner & Master Electrition Custom Electrical

Josh Peterson played football and attended Manti High School in Manti, UT. He overcame significant family and life challenges to grow Custom Electrical from a small business into a thriving company that now employs over 60 people.
Josh credits his success to the support of his wife Ashlee who also works hard to keep things running in the business and their family.

Torri Meidell

Founder of Dream Acre Farm

Torrie Meidell loves growing flowers. Last year she started the local flower subscription service Dream Acre Flower Farm. She delights customers with unique, fresh bouquets and provides bouquets free of charge to local nursing home residents and community members in need of a pick-me-up.
Torrie grows all of the flowers for her business on the 1/2 acre lot of her home. She dreams of a time where she will have more room to grow beautiful flowers, but for now she makes her dreams happen with the resources she has available.

Morgan Selph

Owner & President of Play Space Design

Morgan Selph loves the outdoors and earning money to take his family to interesting places around the world. Morgan is the owner of Play Space Designs, where he designs play spaces that give children the opportunity to grow and test their limits.
Many parents and communities are interested in creating play spaces that provide children with these opportunities, but don't know where to start. Play Space Designs can take it from there!

Sarah Davies

Owner & Founder of Piano Place Designs

Sarah Davies has grown her in-home piano lessons into The Piano Place, with multiple studios across the state of Utah. Families can come and enjoy piano lessons for the whole family at the same time in one convenient location.
Sarah was a sought after piano teacher who couldn't keep up with demand. To solve this problem, she developed a training program for piano teachers and a studio program for students. This allows Sarah and the other piano instructors she employs to deliver a consistent experience to students across ranges of skill and experience in a fun, engaging way.

Allison Calder

Co-Founder of Anson Calder

Allison and Curtis Calder turned an appreciation for fine leather goods and some unexpected health challenges into the luxury brand Anson Calder. The first products were produced in the one bedroom apartment they shared with their three children. They debuted the company at the Oculus in New York City. They now manage the company from the comfort of their home near extended family in Utah County.

Wes Marriott

Founder of Gatwick Games

Growing up, Wes Marriott loved playing board games with family. As Wes got older he realized how important it was for people to carve out space and time to have real in-person interactions with the people around them. Wes launched his first board game on Kickstarter to modest success. From that first game, Wes has grown Gatwick games into a fun family centered company which also brings good income to support his family.
