CNA State Testing Information

Once the program for a Utah CNA license is complete, students will need to prepare for the licensure examination for certified nursing assistants. The examination has two parts just like the CNA training program. The licensure examination will test the skills and knowledge of students about the duties and responsibilities of the CNA. In order for students to acquire a Utah CNA license, students are required to pass all parts of the test to successfully complete the examination.

Once students pass the licensure exam, they become certified nursing assistants and are given licenses to practice in the state of Utah. The state certification must be renewed every two years. When the license is about to expire, the state will notify the CNAs affected.
