Tenor, Voice
Davis Underwood, Tenor, has a Bachelor of Music with an emphasis in commercial music in vocal performance, and a minor in piano and composition and business, from Snow College. He studies with Brian Stucki, renowned and accomplished tenor of opera and oratorio. As well as voice, Davis has studied piano and composition under Dr. Trent Hanna, performing original compositions and songs in concert. At Snow College, he performed with the choral ensembles under Dr. Huff and Dr. Meredith, and participated in the Commercial Music Ensemble and opera workshops. In addition to musical opportunities, Davis is accomplished in musical theatre, having performed on professional summer stock, community and school stages, as well as music directing shows and groups. He has been a studio vocalist, voice actor, entertainer, and arranger. Trained in teaching musical theatre and contemporary vocal production, he teaches voice students in classical and contemporary categories of musical theatre, pop, or art song. He is currently an adjunct instructor at Snow College for the theatre and music departments, as the “Acting for Musical Theatre” instructor, a production music director, and a vocal instructor. Davis aspires to further his education in graduate school, and take advantage of the many teaching opportunities down the road. He looks forward to a life of sharing himself, influencing lives through the various mediums he loves.
