Madeline LeBaron Johnson teaches clarinet and music theory at Snow College where she is music facilities coordinator and assistant professor of music. She recently completed her DMA at the University of North Texas. She also holds the Master of Music from Arizona State and Bachelor of Music from Brigham Young University. Her principal teachers are James Gillespie, Robert Spring, and David Randall. Dr. Johnson has held prior teaching positions at Utah Valley State College and Brigham Young University. She performed at ClarinetFest 2003 in Salt Lake City. Her article on British clarinetist Nicholas Bucknall was published in The Clarinet in June 2001. Dr. Johnson has appeared as soloist with orchestras and bands in the U.S., Canada, and the U.K. She currently performs as a member of the Orchestra at Temple Square in Salt Lake City and gives frequent masterclasses and recitals.
