M. Mus
Soprano, Voice Teacher
Susan Huff’s voice has been prized by conductors and listeners for its warmth and beauty, and she has been a ready choice for the works of Bach, Handel, Haydn, and Mozart. She is also known as an affirmative and caring teacher, having rarely refused any willing pupil, and worked “miracles” with singers considered by some to be “less gifted”. Her good-natured cheer yields an instant connection with students and audiences.
Susan has been a featured performer with the Utah Symphony, Teton Music Festival, CityRep Theatre, Lagoon Opera House, South Davis Civic Chorale & Orchestra, and The Sterling Singers. Her charm and ready smile have made her a favorite at the AutoZone Liberty Bowl (Memphis, TN). She holds the Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from the University of Utah, where she studied with Master Teachers, Naomi Farr and JoAnn Ottley.
Susan was raised in Bountiful, Utah where she excelled at singing, playing piano and violin, and making friends. Leading roles in high school musical productions led to more leading roles in college opera and theater productions. While in college she met and married her husband, conductor and pianist Michael Huff. Their collaboration led to countless recitals, concerts, and six amazing children. The Huffs now reside in Utah’s Sanpete Valley, where together they continue to make music and raise children.
