Course Description
This ensemble provides students completing the bachelor of music degree with an opportunity to synthesize skills learned in required courses, including music theory, commercial arranging, music technology, private lessons, & music business. The course is required once during the junior year and once during the senior year.
Justification
Students will have an opportunity to put theoretical knowledge into practice prior to entering the workforce.

Course Content

Key Performance Indicators: Students will perform selected music with accuracy, musicality, and authenticity. 20 to 30%Students will ensure the set up and proper implementation of audio production software and hardware in rehearsals and performances. 20 to 30%Students will produce accurate and readable charts for the ensemble. 20 to 30%Students will book and promote and manage performances by the ensemble. 20 to 30%Representative Text and/or Supplies: Materials as selected by students. Pedagogy Statement: This course is a student driven, faculty mentored experience designed to give students experience in the operation of a contemporary popular music ensemble.
