STEM Field Trips
- Demos: Physics, Chemistry, Geology, Natural Resources, Biology, and
Engineering Faculty with demonstrations available for STEM outreach, field trips.
We can customize the field trip to suit your individual needs and preferences.
- Planetarium – Free tickets available for public shows at snow.edu/planetarium or
email Planetarium Director to schedule a private show or K12 field trip at
planetarium@snow.edu (Preschool show, K show, SEEd Standards 1.1, 4.4, 6.1)
- Portable Planetarium: We have access to 2 (one from CUES).
- Graham Science Center: Facility housing the planetarium, classrooms, labs as well
as over 40 interactive science displays.
- Telescopes and Binoculars: Host a star party. Look at stars, the moon, or other
astronomical objects. (Standards 1.1, 4.4)
Solar Telescopes and filters: Safely look at the sun. (Standards 1.1, 4.4)
- Microscopes: explore the microscopic living world of pond scum.
- NOAA Science on a Sphere Explorer: Exhibit with virtual reality

- Launch Weather Balloon (Standard 3.1, 6.3), high altitude balloons, rockets, etc.
