Teaching math is one of my passions in life. I have always loved math but haven’t always been good at it. It has taken a lot of effort to understand many concepts but the effort has been worth it! I have been tutoring and teaching math since high school. I loved tutoring as a student at Snow College and SUU on my journey to a Bachelor’s degree. We moved to Ephraim in 2003 and I started teaching at Snow College as an adjunct instructor. After earning a Master’s Degree in Mathematics Education from Western Governors University 2012, my lifelong dream of teaching was fulfilled and I was hired as a full-time instructor.
I have many other hobbies and interests including, rock tumbling and geology, watching all kinds of sporting events and movies, cooking breakfast, baking treats, spending time in the mountains hiking or fishing, and playing board games and card games. You will almost always find me listening to music or a good book (usually fantasy, spy/mystery, or historical fiction). I find the most joy in life from doing any of the things mentioned with my family!
