Snow College Theatre typically produces four to five mainstage productions each year. The plays selected are chosen to give our theatre students exposure to a variety of dramatic genres as performers and technicians, to entertain our audiences, and to open the world to our six-county area. In addition to our mainstage productions we present a secondary Black-Box Series each Spring Semester of scenes and plays directed and performed by advanced theatre students.

H.M.S. Pinafore is a classic comic operetta by Gilbert and Sullivan that satirizes British social class and naval hierarchy with wit and charm. Set aboard the Royal Navy ship H.M.S. Pinafore, the story follows the romance between lowly sailor Ralph Rackstraw and the captain’s daughter, Josephine—who is expected to marry the pompous Sir Joseph Porter. With mistaken identities, clever wordplay, and lively music, H.M.S. Pinafore is a delightful and enduring tale of love, duty, and the topsy-turvy world of Victorian society.

The Night Witches of the Soviet Union’s 588th Night Bomber Regiment flew fragile aircraft
made of canvas and wood, dropping bombs on German forces every fifteen minutes to
keep the enemy sleepless. Constantly reassigned, mechanics became navigators, navigators
became pilots, and pilots rose to command.
Nina and Vera have just completed their navigator training and now stand on the edge
of their first combat mission. As they battle their nerves, the women around them
try—some more effectively than others—to lift their spirits. But when the moment arrives,
they must take to the sky.
Tonight, however, is unlike any night they’ve faced. The enemy has unleashed a new
tactic, catching them entirely off guard. Through movement, song, and lyrical dialogue,
we follow these courageous women through one pivotal, harrowing evening of the war.
