Athletic trainers specialize in injury prevention, diagnosis, and treatment in physically active populations. A master’s degree and successful completion of a national board examination are required to practice athletic training. This pre-athletic training curriculum will help complete the necessary prerequisites to apply to a Master of Science in Athletic Training program.
Athletic trainers work in a variety of settings, such as colleges, universities, elementary schools, and secondary schools. Others work in hospitals, fitness centers, physicians’ offices, or for professional sports teams.
