
Alex holds the following qualifications:
Alex Peterson has over 25 years of experience in international education, spanning elementary, secondary, higher, and adult education. His career has taken him around the world, most notably serving as a Fulbright Scholar in Applied Linguistics at the University of Santiago de Chile in 2014. Alex coordinated grants from 100K Strong in the Americas and IDEAS to increase study abroad options. He is a graduate of the NAFSA Academy and contributes actively to Community Colleges for International Development (CCID). Alex has served in several leadership roles, including Chair of Study Utah and Community College Representative for NAFSA Region II.
He is the Director of Global Learning, directing study abroad, and teaching ESL and TESL courses. He remains dedicated to fostering global engagement and cross-cultural understanding through education.
Alex supports all of Snow College's Study Abroad programs including short-term faculty led experiences, a semester or summer abroad, and even Global Completion Degree Pathway programs.
