Snow College Library Mission and Vision

Mission

The Snow College Library is dedicated to providing an environment where learning occurs. As the intellectual and social center for campus, the library is a place where intellectual communities are formed and where students can find a place for study and creativity.  The library serves as a collaborative center for learning, and is a leader on campus for state of the art technology for students. The library provides research instruction and quality curriculum supporting information sources in the most appropriate formats. Space, equipment and support are provided for student projects. 

Vision

The Snow College Libraries will be the trusted and vital library services and resources for the Snow College Community.

Who May Use the Library?
All Snow College affiliates: students, administrators, staff, faculty. Residents of the six county area (Juab, Millard, Sevier, Wayne, Piute, and Sanpete) may obtain a library card.

Loan Periods
Books: 3 Weeks
Music/Recorded books CDs: 3 Weeks
DVDs: 1 Week
A maximum of 20 items may be checked out at any given time in any combination by Snow College affiliates. Community patrons are allowed 10 items in any combination.

Fees

Late fees accrue for all items except books, DVDs & Music/Recorded books CDs 
The book replacement fee is a minimum of $40.00 and media items have a minimum replacement fee of $30.00 each. The library reserves the right to assess a higher fee based on actual item value. Fees for all other items and damaged equipment will be considered on a case by case basis.

A/V

Copying, Scanning, Large format printing & laminating
These are available to Snow College affiliated patrons.

Course Reserve
Physical items are available at the front desk and are typically available for a two hour check-out. Reserve items must remain in the library.

Food and Drink are allowed in the library everywhere except at computer stations.
