Requesting Articles
Magazine, newspaper, and scholarly articles usually arrive fast — often within
a
day or two.
-
Complete the Interlibrary Loan form. Include as much detail as you
can — article title, author, journal name, volume, issue, and date all help
us
track it down faster.
-
Plan ahead. Requests can take up to 48 hours. Keep in mind that most
interlibrary loan offices are closed on weekends.
-
Watch your email. We'll send you a link or file as soon as the article
is available.
Turnaround: up to 48 hours (Weekends and holidays don't count toward turnaround
times.)
Requesting Print Books
Need a physical book we don't have on the shelf? We can borrow it from another
library
and hold it for you at the front desk.
-
Complete the Interlibrary Loan form. Include the title, author, and
publication year if you have them.
-
Plan ahead. Print books take 7–10 days to arrive, so request
early — especially if the book is for a paper or project with a deadline.
-
Watch your email. We'll let you know the moment your book is ready to
pick up.
Turnaround: 7–10 days (Weekends and holidays don't count toward turnaround
times.)
