The Residence Life Administrative Assistant is a professional staff member that works in the Office of Residence Life who monitors/maintains student housing accounts throughout the academic year and oversees student staff during their office hours in the Office of Residence Life. This position also monitors payment, credit requirements, and student check-in/check-out information. This position is the forefront for the Office of Residence Life and manages the office's daily tasks.
The Resident Director(s) are in the residence halls frequently to assist residents, uphold Residence Life policies, complete random cleaning inspections, and assist Resident Assistants as necessary. Resident Director(s) duties expand across all buildings and focus on the daily functions of the staffs within each building. Resident Director(s) directly supervise the Resident Assistants in a community and over see the administrative tasks of their communities.
Resident Assistants are placed on each floor/hallway to aid students in a positive college experience. Resident Assistants monitor the residence halls nightly and create student events for community development. Resident Assistants are available to answer student questions, mediate roommate conflict, and help students get connected with other resources on campus.
