Military Residency Exception
               
               Snow College is pleased to offer an exception to its residency requirements to military
                  servicemembers and their immediate family members, as well as veterans and their immediate
                  family members, and other eligible persons. To apply for this exception, a person
                  qualifying under this exemption must provide the documentation listed below. Please
                  fill out the Military Residency Exception form and send it with the required documentation
                  to the Registrar’s Office.

               PLEASE NOTE: “immediate family member” means an individual’s spouse or child (natural
                  or legally adopted).
               
               Requirements: Military Servicemembers
               
               Snow College will grant resident student status to military servicemembers who provide
               
               
                  
                  - Their current United States military identification card; and
 
                  
                  - A statement from their current commander, or equivalent, stating that they are assigned
                     to Utah.
 
                  
               
               Requirements: Military Servicemembers’ Immediate Family Members
               
               Snow will also grant resident student status to a military servicemember’s immediate
                  family member who provides:
               
               
                  
                  - The military servicemember’s current United States military identification card;
 
                  
                  - The immediate family member’s current United States military identification card;
                     and
 
                  
                  - A statement from the military servicemember’s current commander, or equivalent, stating
                     that the military servicemember is assigned in Utah.
 
                  
               
               Requirements: Military Veterans
               
               Snow College will grant resident student status to veterans, regardless of whether
                  they served in Utah, who provide:
               
               
                  
                  - Evidence of an honorable or general discharge (DD214);
 
                  
                  - A signed written declaration that the military veteran has relinquished residency
                     in any other state and does not maintain a residence elsewhere; and
 
                  
                  - One or more indicia of Utah domicile (see below) that demonstrates the veteran’s intent
                     to establish residency in Utah.
 
                  
               
               Requirements: Military Veterans’ Immediate Family Members
               
               Snow College will grant resident student status to veterans’ immediate family members,
                  regardless of whether veterans served in Utah, if the military veterans’ immediate
                  family members provide:
               
               
                  
                  - Evidence of the veteran’s honorable or general discharge (DD214);
 
                  
                  - A signed written declaration that the military veteran’s immediate family member has
                     relinquished residency in any other state and does not maintain a residence elsewhere;
                     and
 
                  
                  - One or more indicia of Utah domicile (see below) that demonstrates the military veteran’s
                     immediate family member’s intent to establish residency in Utah.
 
                  
               
               Requirements: Eligible Persons
               
               Snow College will also grant resident student status to others who do not fit into
                  one of the above categories but are still eligible for education benefits under Title
                  38 U. S. Code Chapter 30 Montgomery GI Bill–Active Duty Educational Assistance Program
                  or Chapter 33 Post 9/11 Education Assistance Program. Please provide the following: 
               
               
                  
                  - Evidence of eligibility under Title 38 U. S. Code Chapter 30 Montgomery GI Bill- Active
                     Duty Educational Assistance Program or Chapter 33 Post 9/11 Education Assistance Program;
 
                  
                  - A signed written declaration that the eligible person will utilize GI Bill benefits;
                     and
 
                  
                  - One or more indicia of Utah domicile (see below) that demonstrates the eligible person’s
                     intent to establish residency in Utah.
 
                  
               
               Indicia of Utah Domicile
               
               “Indicia of Utah domicile” means Utah voter registration, Utah vehicle registration,
                  Utah driver's license or identification card, Utah state income tax return, rental
                  contract or mortgage documents, bank records, and utility bills.
